Boys & Girls Clubs of Kentuckiana (BGCK) is an out-of-school time provider, offering a safe haven for youth who need us. We open our doors and our arms to kids ages 6-18, in a safe, positive environment. Inside our Clubs, kids are greeted by name by adult youth professionals in a fun, family atmosphere.
We encourage the development of the whole child by focusing on 5 key areas: Character and Leadership Development; Education and Career Development; Health and Life Skills; The Arts and Sports, Fitness and Recreation. In addition, Boys & Girls Clubs of Kentuckiana operates Kids Cafes in the Shawnee, Ed Endres & Jeffersonville Clubs in partnership with the Dare to Care Food Bank, serving a hot meal every day.
We operate 4 Clubs: Newburg and Shawnee in Louisville, Ed Endres in New Albany and Jeffersonville. Clubs are located in neighborhoods where our members live so they are convenient and easily accessible. Each Club has a gym, game room, computer room, education room, art room and dedicated teen space.
Our Mission
To inspire and enable all young people, especially those most in need of our services, to realize and develop their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens in a global society.
Our History
For over 50 years, BGCK has been in the forefront of youth development, working with young people from disadvantaged economic, social and family circumstances. Learn more about our humble beginnings and the special relationship we have with the Optimist Club of Louisville.
